Hi

I have just got this loco from ebay to join my collection.

Can anyone tell me when was this model made.

Like all Essel products it is very well made , have you got any pictures of any Essel made locos that you could share with us

Hello Dave, I owned one of these locomotives in the early 1990's when I was doing 16mm scale. I mentioned the engine in my article when I did a item for SMT which I submitted to SMT in 1993. I have the cut out article down my shed. I will look up the article when I go down the garden next!

Hi Essel made complete loco. It runs an awful long time between charges.

That Simplex looks superb, I didnt know Essel had made a model of that.

Must say the more I see of the Essel stuff the more I want to hurry up & replace all the IP stuff I have.

It's one of there earlier models. I would certainly recommend essel, well made, powerfull and reliable.
