Home lining with transfers.
I thought I'd have a go and bring the results to stonleigh in the form of river Alde.
Using a design package I have created fully lined (GER style of course!) panels to fit my loco and tender. To use up the space ont he A4 transfer sheet I also started on River Butley.
I'll get them printed out and fitted and post the results. The most difficult part of it was colour matching, the colour fits well to River Butley but not as well to River Alde (which was lighter) which is fine considering not much will be the original colour as the transfers are whole panels. The Water Slide transfer paper comes from a company called craftey coputer paper.

Well one A4 sheet costs about 1.50
soo for the 150 pounds it would cost to have it lined out professionally I could have 100 sheets of this being reapplied. And I am sure before the 100 sheets are up the professional lining would have needed redoing. Also I can fit more than one loco's lining onto a sheet thus dramatically decreasing the cost further. If I varnish them who knows! They may last 2 years or so! My locolines ones lasted 2 years and they were not varnished.
