So... what did YOU do last Saturday?

[Peter Butler]

As a special treat our West Wales Modellers Group were invited to join Ian Arkley at his 7 1/4 inch gauge steam powered Ivy Railway. This had been arranged for some time but, unfortunately, it happened to coincide with other arrangements and mechanical issues with one member's car, so only three of our small group managed to turn up.
However, the attached video link shows how we passed the time between teas, coffees, biscuits and conversation which kept us all amused for most of the day during wonderful weather, all in a spectacular setting.
Ian's line, and more of his exquisite models, can be seen in several videos on youtube listed as Elvinley Railways. He is also well known (in his particular genre) as a recording artist and plays many instruments in his home studio. Some of his work is used as background music in his videos.

Next Saturday we will be displaying, and hopefully recruiting, at a Toy and Train Fair in Kidwelly, Carmarthenshire. What busy lives we oldies lead!
