LGB draisine

Post by Sam95 » Wed Jul 29, 2026 1:17 pm

Dear all,

I bought an old LGB draisine of that model :
https://gartenbahn.holger-gatz.de/html/ ... isine.html

I used the chassis to motorized a 3d printed loco. But this motorized chassis derails when it arrives on a switch from "back" and when the point is not in the good direction.

Do you have an idea to correct that ?

My other LGB Rusty can do it without any issue

A likely cause is that the 3D printed body and mech isn't heavy enough to trail the turnout.

Weigh both the new loco and 'Rusty' and if the new loco is lighter, then add weight to bring it up to the same as 'Rusty'. Then test to see if the problem has gone away.

Graeme
