Accucraft chopper coupling parts

Post by Dr. Bond of the DVLR » Tue Apr 28, 2026 12:46 pm

My stocks of second hand accucraft chopper couplings are starting to get a little low following a flurry of activity in the C and W department. I was somewhat staggered to see how much a set costs now new!

I'm particularly after square headed versions for my rolling stock - I don't mind about the old versions without the bob-weights as most of mine pre-date that design change anyway.

If you have replaced your chopper couplings and have a load of them sitting around (or any parts) do get in touch by PM.

Many thanks indeed
Zach

Thanks Commerlad - if I go down that route I'll probably design my own as I've been modifying the Accucraft choppers to be shorter.

If anyone has replaced the chopper by putting a buffer insert into the pockets and so has a load of parts kicking around I'd also be interested, again, particularly the square heads.
If anyone wants to swap some round headed parts for square ones I'd also be happy to do that.
