Im half half about this.

wondering wether i should send the backsheet off to Geoff Monday again to get it lined like the rest of my lady anne and run without the bunker.

i'd add the lamp brackets back on again though. and then i can have it with or without bunker as i please. It would be soo much easier to couple and uncouple without the bunker.

All of this will be done after the MGLR has its second steamer bought and in service of course.

started adding the trimline today, doing it in red as I had it in stock and a test piece on the bunker looked rather nice to me

The bodyshell. I have added a couple more bits since the photo was taken

The rear bunker, which is now finished, i'm not sure whether to run the loco with or without it initially
The red lining does look better than it does in the photos by the way :)

Very nice mate, looks super! Personally, I'd have the bunker on, looks a little more balanced.

I say off, because what sort of loco has coal in the tanks and a bunker?

The L&B 2-6-2T's did! Unlike the others, Lew's was inside the cab and so not visible.

Congradulations Matt, you have bungled your first topic, for that you earn
1 bungle point!

Right, time to anti-bungle* this topic, and the lining on Urien has been finshed

Image
I have put the body back on the chassis just to see how it looks, and I think it looks pretty good, although you will have to wait untill glued on the brass strips on the inside of the bunkers and decided on whether to fit a wood floor or not.
I have also decided to initially run with the bunker on, altough it will be demounted at some point (probably before it makes its first appearance in Wales... )

*anti bungle*, to send an bungled topic back on topic, hopefully

*ok, you do any better!

Right, time to counter anti-bungle this topic. I saw the cartoon. Hillarious!
Also, who saw Gordon Brown getting a thrashing from the tories, or I'm I and my dad alone in this subject.

On topic, that is some very good lining Laalratty. For how much would you do my lawley?

dunno, depends what style you want! baring in mind I can only do basic corners with paint.
I'm now wondering what i'm missing with this cartoon...

Matt

did you see it?

Well, basiclly, if you didn't, it shows Winnie the Pooh and the boy who's name I can't spell watching piglet sneezing, and the caption says that they've decided to have Piglet put down.

Good to hear Wales warrants removal of the bunker, and perhaps Devon the adition of it :?:

You haven't lived Matt, THIS is the cartoon I'm on about www.huffingtonpost.com/2009/04/30/winni ... 93624.html , anyone offended by the 'F' word may not wish to view it.

*I'd recomend 'de-bunglefy' as 'anti bungle' makes it look as though we are banning him from this topic, which I hope we are not.
