I´ve decided to go for the name of French vineyards on the assumption that they I can group the locos according to classes (Bordeaux, Burgundy ....) there are enough of them not to get in the way of buying any more locos ....SillyBilly:3234 wrote:I find it rather easy, I use my vast, pointless knowledge of narrow gauge locomotive names, think of a loco the model is similar to, then think of a name similar to the prototype name, and hey presto, you have a name!
Alternitavley, a name them after the builder, or the person who donated the loco to the railway, one way or another I get a name! Although the name rarely sits on the loco.
If naming a loco after a girlfriend or similar, always good to use silicon to attach said nameplates, in order to exchange if necessary .....
