Peter has proposed the theme for the September Gallery to be:

What a load of....

Please keep it tasteful, but its going to be interesting to see what you all come up with.
Closing date will be midnight UK time on 7th September 2026.

Just as an explanation to my chosen subject, I'm hoping to see inventive ways of transporting loads of useful items as required by the operator.
Not to be used to criticise any other similar items not to your liking.

My two 3.5" gauge Tich locos on a 5" gauge goods wagon.
This was jsut an idea how to keep them visible instead of in their transport boxes.

War supplies quickly loaded and being removed from the front. Ammo cases and duck boards, with a Vickers quickly chucked on the top..

They look good, and most unusual loads. Are you entering both as individual photos or would you prefer to concentrate on just one?

My entry is of my latest wagon load for my Plateway one plank. Readers may know or recall Peasholme Park in Scarborough and the miniature naval battles on the lake. Well, childhood memories of that inspired this load. I'll leave it to you all to decide whether the latest models from Vulcan Works are off to Yorkshire or a lake somewhere else. And what the two railwaymen are saying to each other!

The Manager decided he needed a new car - delivered by rail naturally.
And tax exempt - "Rail Inspection Vehicle".

Not entering that one for the competition but:

What about "magic" wagon loads?

I bought a 1:10 model of a Citroen 11BL as a load for my 5" gauge Loriot wagon.

3 Years later, a fullsize 1955 Citroen 11BL "appeared" in my garage.
