Hope you all have a brilliant day
To far unfortunately for us for one day and it's a little bit short notice, other wise we may have booked a place to stay for the night.
Still I'am sure the day will be successful..

Re: Yr Hen Felin & Yr Orsaf Newydd
I finally bit the bullet and ordered another Cliff Barker point so I could connect up the two yard siding that was not connected to the rest of the system (it was the spare track I had left from the forty yards I bought). The point came yesterday afternoon so I went out in the garden and this:-

Very nice - I like the gentle curves.
They're a decent length too...
Cheers,
Andrew.

Thanks Andrew,
they are a little bit longer now and have hi-tech buffer stops as in between showers this afternoon I just tidied up the ends that don't show in the previous picture,

The nearly completed guards van at the end of the new siding. It needs door knobs, and looking at the photo I will probably glue the roof down.

I didn't realise Cliff Barker made points for 32mm NG. Interesting.

That is a line to be proud of Phil. I just wish I had a little bit bigger garden and I would have nicked you idea of having it that tall also, my old back kills me now...

Re: Yr Hen Felin & Yr Orsaf Newydd
Progress on the Plateway Models Fish Van:-
I'm not entirely satisfied with the paint finish. It had several coats of grey primer followed by lots of coats of matt white. It has not filled all of the corners nor as much of the grain of the plywood as I would like. Maybe I should have done some coats of filler primer first, or chosen a colour other than white!
I've now fitted handles so the white will have to do, at normal viewing distance at worst it will look slightly weathered I think.
The roof in the kit seems a bit small, the overhang at the sides leaves the sliding door tops and rails exposed. so I am going to glue on a plasticard one which is 7mm wider and a little longer. Once that is done I will move onto painting the underside and handles black.

After a full day of faultlessly working the shunting puzzle Yr Hen Felin at the West Wales Model Railway show yesterday Porthmadog enjoys the sunshine with a mixed freight. She had enough battery life remaining to do some circuits of the outdoor layout.
The fish van awaits iron work and lettering, the brake van just door handles and a guard maybe.
and a bit of video:-
