Re: Sam small layout
Few month ago I bought a station, but the roof was made from plywood.
So I printed some tiles and glue them on this plywood base.
Last week-end I started to create the platform with Syporex.
Now I would like to add some stuff on the platform like benches, lights, fences. But I don't know how to fix them.
Do you have any idea please ?

Hello
Here is a quick video of the first train stopping in my station.
I have decided to named my station "walnut lane station" as my street's name is "gros noyer" In French which can be translated as "huge walnut tree"

Great little video. Nicely framed and realistic running speeds.

Thanks
The running speed is possible thanks to battery powered loco.
Do you have an idea to fix accessories on the platform made of aerated concrete ?

If you really want things permanently fixed, try Gorilla Glue ( the original foaming one ). I used it to glue a loose stone platform edge to the concrete platform. It's still in place after about 5 years.

Another possibility is instant grab adhesive.

Re: Sam small layout
Hello all,
Here are some news of my layout. I have printed my first truck from thingiverse a hudson tipper. The wheels axle is made of 3mm stainless steel . The bushing and spacer are made of 4mm brass tube.
the truk has been painted in brown and it works fine on my LGB rails with some weight in it.

I also add some gravel in the "mine" area. Now I am looking for plants to put into the 2 white flower boxes to cover the side of the boxes.

And finally 2 benches have been added to the station platform. Also from thingiverse and 3d printed in PETG.

The varnished wood on the benches has been really well represented.

Thanks
It is only brown acrilyc paint applied with a brush. I think the white PETG print which is almost transparent helps a lot.
My problem actually is that I tried to glue the bench to the platform but it doesn't stick.
And the platform is too vacant without passengers......

Not yet for the glue it is hard to find in France.
Rik I have a question for you :
I would like to add a Mine Hopper but I have no idea of the dimensions. I saw that you have one on your railway :https://riksrailway.blogspot.com/2012/1 ... opper.html
Could you give me some measurement for exemple total lenght, width and height thus I can draw my own model ?
Thanks
Sam

I think I saw some Gorilla Glue in the local brico the last time I was in France.
I'm just out for a coffee, but I'll take the measurements of the loading hopper as soon as I get home.

Hello all,
A new platform is now present in the station, and also some fences.
The passengers are still missing, so we have only freight trafic for the moment :
