Re: To make you smile
I have borrowed a couple of the photos with the dogs. I found them so funny, I would like to use them on a couple of Facebook groups I follow.

The second one is from Peter's Railway - Chris Vine - IIRC, when he was extending/adding a return loop. I did plan to do a model of PR based on a T gauge system and got his blessing for that but then Covid and multiple family crises hit. Best laid plans ...
I can't remember offhand about the first.

Re: To make you smile
True Story:
When I was an apprentice (nineties) the year below us had two girls.
This just had to be celebrated. Women in this job (Radio and TV technician).
The press was called. An article was written.
We all had to stand out of the way as one of those girls sat at the lab, holding a probe onto some PCB, ready for the pictures to be taken.
One of us spoke up: "Sir, there is ...."
SHUT UP! was the only answer he got.
Others tried too, but there was only "SHUT UP!" to be heard.
Weeks later, the company started a campaign with lots of posters.
With a girl holding a probe into the PCB, looking at the scope.
The plug from that probe was proudly sitting in front of the scope on the bench, not plugged it.
The posters quickly vanished.
That was then known as the "shup up-effect" to all of us for years.

And looking at the forecast, it's now due to be chilly enough to get a white Christmas, which would be unusual. No precipitation forecast (yet?) though. Which may be just as well...
