ongoing mss issues

Does anybody know why my mss bounces around like a pregnant duck?

The wheels might have become lose and moved. They should be at 90 degrees to each other (someone else will know the right terminology) to ensure the pistons are pushing and pulling when they should be.

Don't you mean quartering Jim? :lol:

MSS and Mamod loco's only 'waggle' from side to side, they shouldn't bounce!

Definitely look at the wheels Andy.

I had that problem with two of mine. the wheels get loose on the axle and the timing goes out. My cure was to replace the wheels.
