oh god, midge has got a photobucket account :bom: , just to say mum got a lot of funny ones of you at the Forest Fields railway so I would be careful about posting any more of me  ;)
Nice review of events Jools, and thanks for the hospitality. I will be making a short video of the record breaking, including the record run of the Janod which I am pleased to say I managed to get on video. And yes, my Caradoc did sound rather impressive, it was just slow (probebly because of the chuff pipe)

"It's a bit big isn't it?"
"It's a full scale model sir....."

I don't think so SLRmidge though it would be funny if you wanted to try that
I have now put my video of the speed trials up on youtube, here it is http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=wd-gSyzlc-0
Gwydion's run was not filmed, as I was driving Gwydion and Midge wasn't there to film it at the time

NEWS FLASH NEWS FLASH NEWS FLASH
'Tibby' equals the current record holding Jamod 'Sir Luke' with an adrenlin rushing 91.5 scale mph this lunchtime on LMS Jools's line.
I don't think Jools was too happy ;) No doubt the battle for supremacy will continue.............

Jools. You can try the downhill CGRL if you want. That should take the speed.Just make sure midge doesnt change the points to send you round the tight bend.

Of course I and the LMS board of directors was as Mr Kipling would say, "Exceedingly Happy" for Tibby, the SLR and Ian "Mad" Midgley ! and more than happy to have provided the facilities for their high speed run, well done.

However

this evening the LMS regained the crown with a speed of 100.6mph as witnessed by Lady Adele of the Manor.
The LMS is confident that if necessary a wee bit more can be squeezed out of the record setting LMS Jamod Loco "Sir Luke"

;) 8)

Well jools already runs it with the streamlining dome, but I don't know if anyone could streamline a 16mm scale engine. :?

Would be funny if you could come up and run your mamod on the LMS and get it faster than the jamod, then you could put a video on youtube, "the world's fastest mamod" And how many other people have got a dynonometer car to take your crown away
