The section of bridge/track/plant seen behind the "Feb" of February has been copied from behind the "ruary".

I must say tho that I didn't notice until it was pointed out so it can't be that bad!

The question is does it matter.... I have to say I don't feel it detracts from the magazine at all and is a minor error in the great scheme of things. SMT still rates for me as the best magazine in any field that I know of and I really can't be bothered with the odd minor error that may creap in.... At the end of the day SMT is a credit to the editor and contributors and I love it.

To me it is the cameras fault...I've seen a few photos recently where a low(ish) res digital camera has taken almost two shots in one photo, and you'll see part of the photo echoed somewhere else in it. The fault just hasn't been edited out, so I seriously doubt it was edited in by accident.

I didn't Photoshop this picture of a Hunslet that appeared on the front of 16mm Today. The nameplate/saddletank was not level with the rest of the loco & someone moaned to Andrew Charman.

So you can't please every one.
