All-

There was some off-board discussion of hole type drivers coming back from Roy Wood, ala the old IP ones. And today, Chris C posted the photo from Roy's site.

Also, Janet/Super Mamod boilers are coming back, and with all fittings at GBP 120, a roaring bargain!

...and when I showed my IP boiler to a local boiler maker here in Nashville (Harry Wade) when I bought it during the terrible $2.20-GBP1 rate days of 2008, he was impressed.

When I told him it was around $200 in total cost, he told me he couldn't come close to that price if he were to make one!

Must say I'm disappointed. When I bought my PPS superboiler in Dec 2010 with all fittings, inc p-gauge, p-gauge syphon, and inline luber and steampipe, it cost me £151.

Still, I made a killing via my gas burner and elsewhere.

I think this is just the boiler with regulator, injector, and fittings. The pressure gauge and lubricator would be extras....

£120 - RWM Boiler, includes top up valve & higher pressure safety valve.
£30 - 1/2" pressure gauge.
£10 - pressure gauge syphon & banjo bolt (not listed on his website but was what I was charged for mine).
£15 - Janet displacement lubricator with no drain.

£175 - Total Cost - not mentioned on his website is whether you get a steam pipe for the boiler to reverser valve connection (one would assume so).

So that is a 16% price rise in just over 2 years.
