And the outlet next door was conveniently selling Holy Hand Grenades of Antioch!!

(My favourite Monty Python movie - spent a Saturday afternoon years ago watching a movie double bill - Monty Python and the Holy Grail followed by Blazing Saddles - could not stop laughing for days after that!).

OK - firstly you need to be aware that The Original Killer Bunny was in a film called Monty Python & the Holy Grail, where it lurked in a quarry and killed and ate people. (!) The North West Area Group (who are into things Pythonesque) created their own, which appears at irregular intervals, riding garden railways and savaging the figures thereon.

This has now spawned a number of "followers" - there's one in Milton Keynes and mine is the third.

as Brian says it was a famous character in the Monty Python and the Holy Grail film, but it was actually guarding The Cave of Caerbannog, and not a quarry (the actual film location is Tomnadashan Mine cave 4 miles from the Perthshire village of Killin in Scotland, which apparently Michael Palin & Terry Jones failed to find whilst trying to make some extra material for the 25th Anniversary DVD).

To add to the story slightly, one day some members of the NWAG assembled at the Silverdale Light Railway (north) of SLR midge to do some "service running", basically running the line like a real railway. This involved goods trains with loads, and one of the loads was a slightly overscale plastic rabbit with red eyes. Well, LMSjools and PTLRcecil had got me into Monty Python, Holy Grail in particular (it really is a cracking film!) and seeing a bunny with red eyes, comparisons with the killer bunny from the film were soon drawn by me. Within minuites, me and Jools started taking the photos in the topic, and the legend was born. His status only grew when forum founder SillyBilly accidently took him to Wales (see http://gardenrails.myfreeforum.org/abou ... ller+bunny ) and when he returned his place in forum history was secured. As for the bunny at the moment, I've stolen him off SLRmidge since I control all of the bunnys affairs through his Facebook page (look for The N.W.A.G Killer Bunny). If you want to fill in some of the gaps in the story and waste a lot of time type "killer bunny" into the search engine for this forum!
