16mm scale prize draw 2013

Post by Dr. Bond of the DVLR » Mon Aug 13, 2012 8:53 am

The list for the prize draw is now up
http://www.16mm.org.uk/newsite/show/201 ... fault.html
The thing that struck me is how many things this year are pre- built and therefore of a set gauge and therefore how few things are available to the 45mm gauge modeller...
Ho hum...

I presume the prizes are donated by the company's so there is no choice but to accept what they offer.

I thought the 16mm scale association clearly expressed when things had been donated.

Isn't the Joan Regaugable? Unless you get a choice of gauges if you win?
No one expects the SPANISH ACQUISITION!!!

Is it possible that it wont be built until after the draw therefore the winner will get choice of gauge,? I know some of the kits are 32mm only though.

I myself use 32mm gauge, but I agree if its largely limited to 32mm then anyone using 45mm gauge could be quite alienated...

you can buy them in either 32 or 45, but they are set to one gauge rather than regaugeable like most outside framed locos.
Thanks
