Anyone thinking of getting an up-rated boiler? I've just spotted this on the Dream Steam website;


Copper Boiler Tube Shortage.


We would like to make all our customers aware of an issue we currently have with the copper tube we use on our High Pressure Copper Boilers. This tube (1.5" by 20 gauge) is currently in short supply in the UK. We are working to overcome this and looking at over seas import of tube however this does mean we can not give a delivery time to the boilers currently. We can still order boilers to get a slot on the built list but we can not currently keep to the 3 to 6 week shipping time.


NOTE: Customers with currently pending orders for boilers have been contacted via email about the status of their order.

Ive noticed this and it seems to be getting worse, price of metals even timber is effective and in shortage. This is the way of the world in current time. The hobby is being hit as the demand for it increases. A lot of small businesses that provide to the larger ones arent producing and going under..sad times
