Cheers to Greg & the other Butterley lot who were in today, had a cracking time & after quite a while without any club running time it was nice to turn some wheels on foriegn metal's once more. A quiet day that got a little busier in the late afternoon. The non tilt fitted sliver lady doing EPS speeds was rather scary & I think the owner thought he was driving a king/ Duchess/ NE/SR spam can by the speed it was doing!  :?

Aside from that it was nice & relaxing..

Just plodding along nicely minding it's own business... :D

Weather was really nice, have even caught the sun.
Tommy Dodd may have an ARS key but I have a TASS button & a Rope Ladder, just like pirates, except the TASS button bit.

Maybe I should have gone along instead of going to Neville Hill, I arrived for work at 9am, we'd finished by 11 and fell asleep for the rest of the afternoon cause we'd finished both B exams on the two powercars  and there was me thinking more bits and bobs would go on over the weekend

Quite the hectic day today - I ended up only taking a couple of photo's and a short vid (sorry I missed the Baldwin Matt  ).

However, I know there were other snappers amongst the usual suspects, so I expect some photo's will follow! ;)

Very pleasant - a nice way to finish off the day (it's 0120 as I type this). Nice to hear Gary Glitter mangled, too!

Down in the garden, something stirred....................

Image

Oh, look - it's a train!

Image

James and I turned up to run trains, even though it was God-awful weather - the MRC only had around 15 punters through the door!

Image

The FFC Budup Wagon had its first run, first with Tiffany on the head end..............

Image

.............. then with Esme and Miss Tick when an unfortunate incident rendered Tiffany a failure.

Image

James found some fare dodgers in one of his wagons - baby snails!

Image

........... and this is what happened to the (untreated) Budup Wagon's roof when it got wet!

Image

We eventually gave up and went home around 1430!

............. and a short video..............................

Taking a theme from another thread ;)  - it appears that using untreated non-scale scale timber results in out-of-scale expansion when it's exposed to non-1/19th rain!

I would have taken some.pictures, but it was such awful weather I was too busy either hiding underneath the 32/45mm steaming bays or in the club house whilst trying to keep the batteries and fire going in Snowdon

I learned (during my time in HMF) that there is no such thing as "bad weather" - you were just inappropriately dressed! ;)
