Cheap modification Coal bunker

This mod wasn't done by me but I intend to do it to other engines in the fleet.

to make one in balsa design the side panels and attatch using the handrail bolts the front of the bunker is a flat plate stuk to the back of the cab plate, build out to right width with two square blocks and large one at the bottom shape the bottom with sandpaper and glue a back plate on the back. Make a false coal load and attatch to the top of the hollow bit. easy :D

I was doing the same to Britomart, but thats lost in the depths if time! :lol:

As it is reasonably far from the hot bits there is no problem in using light wood.

Don't forget to add a good size (longer than the bunker) centre or twin buffer setup to the rear though. Traincrew will get narked at the banging noise everytime they brake otherwise.. :D :D

providing you use mamod buffered stock on this oneits fine even on bends but a buffer extension would be advisable if you have any issues
