Finally! Holiday videos

Post by Dr. Bond of the DVLR » Mon Sep 19, 2011 8:09 pm

I'll put a few pics and vids here of the various railways I visited in Wales over summer. First off a short vid of the Joys of Life railway.
The Achilles had lots of little faults going on which hampered the performance some what. Plenty to do over winter...
Hopefully she'll perform much better next time. It is an extremely challenging line for Standard gauge locos with smaller boilers than their Narrow Guage counter parts. I also suspect that the 6 coupled wheels where causing friction with the rail particularly at the balloon at the top of the line.

Thanks go to all who put up with me on the day!

Not strictly from Wales but here's the WWLR vid. Along the line from the footplate...

Home Movies of Trains

Post by siltec » Fri Oct 14, 2011 9:36 am

Hi

I am a new boy here and was just looking through the forums. Thought I might start with 'home movies' from holiday and home.

There are also some of my efforts of railways in the garden on my YouTube site - but I had to start somewhere.

Should link to page of railway 'home movies'
