Morcombe Light railway

Hi all FINNALLY got permission to build my line in MY garden, its going to be just a simple cirlce of PECO track set on breze blocks.
This is very much going to be a open topic i hope where you can tell me to add things to my track plan advise me on first locos and stock ect
so please help by giving as little as ADVICE today call 0800....

Good to here that you've got permission. A quick tip. Make sure that your track is screwed down properly. I read in a Garden Rail article that in winter, water can get under the sleppers, then freeze and expand, causing a lot of damage to the track.

Im not sure on the track front, I keep wondering if a siding or somthing would be nice but i dont know :S

If you can afford the point, defintately go for the siding...it'll make life a bit more interesting than just going round and round!

Graham,
Have you got the time to wait?!? LOL
Will be another long term project as 1. the site needs clearing
2. this cannot be done on sundays as this is twyford day.
fitting it in with oil engines and other toy steam and family comitments
We WILL get there tho! oh and pete next time im down ur way and i have a loco me folks sed i could seing round

however dont screw/nail it too hard as it bends the sleepers and pulls the rails in, which WILL cause derailments!

I'm not getting anything of the conversation between made-in-england and mhlr. Could you two put it into english please?
On the track front, is one solution to put the sleepers in a gravel/cement mixe so that one it looks realistic, and two, water can't get under the sleepers and cause damage?

you're the one who said that u were coming to cornwall for a visit so u were coming to the MHLR, as i said u could, so hence why i said OK. Then you asked what OK meant, so i spelt it out in its phonetical form. Does that help?!

you are planning to buy a oval of Peco track, with set curves, a Lollypop Railcar + wagons, and one day save for a MSS then you wanted to save for an EDRIG!!!!!!!!
