Is it possible?

A very popular starting point for Live Steam. With their low cost comes a number of problems which can be discussed here

Is it possible?

Post by anythingsdr » Mon Jul 04, 2011 2:55 pm

Hello there, Im currently going through a majour rebuilt of my mamod, i was suddenly thinking, about the regulator upgrade from Dream Steam, which, hopefully I'll order this week, but between that, the high pressure safety valve and the water top up valve I kind of miss the whilstle, as anyone managed to make an adaptor so you can have all 4 steam using devices? i was half thinking of an adaptor above the regulator adaptor so the whilstle was mounted inside on its side, but that would make the safety valve very high on the cab.

Has anyone got any thoughts?

Its entirely possible, Alan Briggs had a Mamod (which donated its wheels to my own!) that had a manifold arrangement for a whistle.

Do you by any chance do you know if there are any pictures or drawings of the manifold? or a way of contacting Mr Briggs?

a way of contacting Mr Briggs?
It seems that you have to be "in the loop" - some people can contact Alan easily and indeed have excellent and useful exchanges with him, while alas others receive no reply
