Perhaps we could go along the WHR school of thought, and you can be the SLR(N) and Peters be the SLR(S).

That's a good idea. One I just thought of is that you know in the film 'Oh mister porter!' the railway is called 'The Southen Railway of Northen Ireland'. Well, SLRmidge could call his line 'the sliverdale Light Railway of (whatever street you live on)' and Peter's line could be called 'The sliverdale light Railway of (whatever street he lives on)'.

p.s, bungle80a, I love your second signiture!

Oh dear did you not know that was an April fool! :D
Well if a name change happened it would have to be Ians that changed, as Peter came first, although personally I have no problems with them being named the same and the signage on the 2 lines makes out that there are 2 parts (the line under Ians house is pointed at on the station as being "trains to Arnside castle" which is the first station on Peters line

Apparently, The folder he received had the shots and descriptions of Peters Line in a subfolder called Arnside Castle.

Also, in the folder he received, Morris Snells name was as it appeared in the mag (I am not sure how it should be spelt, which is why I have also spelt it wrong). With regard the windy ridge/edge situation, it was a matter of the article being a pain in the ass trying to convert it to a .pdf file. He noticed the mistake, but didnt realise he had saved it with it still in.

Ian, did you realise he had spelt your name wrong in a couple of places also?

Anyhoo, he says he will print corrections in the next issue.

Well the arnside castle matter. Peter told me to but it down like that when I phoned up to check. As for every thing else im not responsible. If Dave was so bothered he should have checked it himself.

I've just got issue number 167, and it's a lot better than previous editions. There's a good article about closed cornish garden railways, and there's various other articles.

However, there's some bad news. According to most of the retailers in the magazine, accucraft are taking 4 of their most popular models off the production line.

The L&B Lyn
The W.D. Baldwin
The Baguley Drewery diesel
and the Mortimer.

I think that the Lawley is going to be the Mortimer's replacement, and the Lyn is being replaced by the new Earl/Countess.

I've seen the Baguley advertised at discontinued on several online retailers sites while trying to price one up for myself! So that doesnt really surprise me.

I thought the Mortimer had already ben discontinued. Isn't the Lawley replacing the Wrekin, as its basically the same engine with a different cab, and the Lyn I thought was only going to be a limited number anyway?!?!?

So am I, although looking at the Brandbright website it is confrimed that accucraft are going to bring out a model of the NG15 2-8-2 engines. Thats going to be something impressive!

They'd better be, apparently Mr Pearse himself went out there to check every single NGG16 as it comes off the production line.

And every one of the last Lyns and Baldwins as well, or so i've heared, so accucraft might finally be getting over the build quality problems

I'm just glad that I ordered my Lyn when I did, had I hummed and hah'ed much longer I probably would not have got one. Last autumn I had originally ordered the proposed new version of Lyn which was to have been in it's 1912 livery with brown lined frames and the original chimney, unfortunately only two people wanted one it seems, so the 1912 version was cancelled, and I had to change the order to the Southern version, which I must add, I have not regretted.

I enjoyed that article, I must get round to asking the guy about making a Cornish Engine House for me :D. I liked the 4MT loco too, was it made by Accucraft?!

No, it was made by a smaller company called 'The gauge one model railway company', I think. I like it too.

Isn't it a bit odd that so far all the members of this forum are primarily into narrow gauge railways? I though this forum was for all scales.

Maybe we should invite some members of the G1MA to join.
