The Afonglas and Nant Llywyd spring steamup 2011

The first NWAG steamup of the year was held today on my Afonglas and Nant Llywyd Railway, as typically the lovely weather from last week disappeared in a load of cloud and a cold breeze. Still a fun time was had by those that turned up, and there was a variety of locos on show. Here are the inevertable pics
From the PTLR came Cecils latest loco, the Accucraft Lyn in BR livery first uveiled at the Fairfield Railway back in January. The performance of this beast was as good as its appearance

Lyn departs Afallen
Duncan from the Ingleton Mountain Railway, one of 2 Billys that visited
Today bought a first run out for the Little Morecambe steam railways 16mm scale Welshpool and Llanfair train, and very neat it looked too
Afonglas shed was a "BR liveried loco" only area...
Superior emerges from the tunnel
The other Billy was the recently fully rebuilt example from the Stanwix Light Railway
David William drifts out of Afallen
Of course, me and Si just had to do the usual huge double headed train, this is an NWAG tradition! This time its the BR pair, with 5 carriages and 3 wagons (2 of them loaded) on the tail. I can just imagine Mr Bond shuddering at the thought...

Finally seen passing Ty Pren, where the fence has finally been erected
