First of all thanks go out to Mr Bond for supplying one of the coaches and MDLR for the duckets

I'm currently building a rake of three IP Freelance 2 comp coaches to form the regular service passenger stock for the Westwood & Loscoe.

I've re-gauged, repainted and reglazed the coach from Zach and replaced the flimsy plasticard roof with one cut from ply. (The ply roofs will be fitted to all three coaches) All that remains to be done is the application of W&LLR crests (in stores), class designation and coach numbers (on order)

The second coach aquired on eBay is under construction as I type, with the basic "box" section complete, next job will be to fettle the overlays at one end to fit the guards duckets.

The third coach is awaiting delivery from IP Engineering, along with the 45mm gauge wheelsets for the second coach.
Anyone aware of current delivery times from IP? I ordered at the weekend and I'm busy with the current build / mod, so I'm not panicking yet

Oops! Fundemental error

just cut two roofs from my last sheet of appropriate thickness ply and being sooooooooooo clever, I cut them to waste the least amount of timber.
Of course I've cut across the main grain rather than along it so they won't curve nice and easily into the roof profile (in fact they'll hardly bend at all!!!).

Time to put the kettle on
(and when you've all finished laughing, don't forget to file this under "things to remember not to do!" )

We all do things like that! A couple of times I've made a roof, forgotten about it and then found that same piece of ply and used it for something else. I then of course spend time looking for the roof and then remember I just cut it up!
