Mamod pistons

Post by Sir Clothem Cap » Sun Oct 10, 2010 3:41 pm

I have just replaced my pistons on "Eva" with replacement ones from dream steam and found that the pivot bolt was touching the steam supply pipe causing the piston to stand proud and leaking steam. To cure this I have used two gaskets together on both sides. Has anyone else had this problem with theirs?

I know on H.G.Butler i think one of the bolts are touching the exhaust or steam pipes, can't remember now, but it isn't affecting the operation of the loco in any way
