The Great GRF photograph competition!
Right well here it is! This competition will run 4 times a year so once a season. There will be 2 months from the date of announcement of the topic to submit the entries here. then a week for them to be judged. Then we get a little rest for a while before the next one.
The topics will be announced in Summer - June, Autumn - September Winter - December and Spring - March. The winner gets to chose the next topic but cannot enter it. (gives more people a chance)
So without further ado I would like to announce the topic for the first Summer photo competition:
Holiday
The closing date is July 31 2010
1 photo per topic per user. Unless you gave the topic theme in which case 0
Narrows it down for judging also you have to make it a really great entry!
You can submit a photo taken before the release date but you can only use photos once.
Just to make it clear these photos must be Garden Railway related in some way shape or form.
Good luck!

Right,
Well done to Sir Haydn for winning the last competition, his new theme is
'between trains'
for the spring 2012 photo comp/
Good luck and the closing date is 10th of May,
A little more than a month this time so a little more time to take that perfect shot!

Well done for the so far most positive win by Narrow Minded for the Spring 2013 Competition, who has chosen the next theme of
"A Postcard From ........ "
This has an excellent scope for potential, so get out this summer and get some classic postcard shots for Summer 2013 Photo Competition! The deadline for entrants is:
6pm 1st August
Good Luck!

Never mind Pretoria, maybe next time!
Anyhow, after Lner fan Sam's joint win with SLRmidge, I have to apologise for the lateness of the new theme, I've been a bit tied up with Project Miller once again However the next theme has been chosen by Lner fan Sam with the title of:
"Passing Trains"
An excellent scope to get some trains run before the winter months begin to kick in for a photo to enter I'd say! The deadline is:
6pm 1st October
Good Luck!

So with SLRmidge's another storming win in the GRF Photo Competition, the theme of "From Dusk to Dawn" has been set, so with the winter months breathing down our neck, could be a good theme for evening sunsets! Due to myself having a slight lack of time to sort things out this season shall be slightly short, so the deadline for entrants is....
A quick reminder of the rules.
- 1 Entry per user
- The winning entry allows the user to choose next seasons theme, and is barred from entering the theme chosen to make things fair
- The use of Photoscape/Photoshop photo enhancemant levels and additions (such as additions of creative layers to age the photo for example) are not allowed
- Basic cropping/alignment are allowed
- The photo entered (whether it wins or not) cannot be used again
6pm 16th December
Good Luck!
