Endless, Nameless wrote:Have a browse round G scale central Pete. Someone has done just that, including doing one as a brake/ parcels coach IIRC- they are brilliant. Another chap has done them- very, very neatly- in blood & custard- he also has a 2-tone green LGB diesel and Brunswick green Piko railbus.
Any chance of a link mate, can't seem to find the relevant topic.

I'll have a rummage later. Was done by "Martino", "3-valve" did the blood & custards.

when I was a little kid I had a toy train that had a push button sound feature that used exactly the same sound board.
cheap!!!!!!!!!!
ROFL!!! I had that too!

I couldn't believe it when I saw the range, its just LGB done on the cheap. Rather like my RC tanks, they before I rebuilt them were just cheap Tamiya clones!

They are copies of the LGB Rugen coaches, as all Newqida wagons are copies of LGB, hence the detailling on the underside and compensated bogies etc. Just deassemble an LGB product, put the parts in a 3D-scanner and they can produce the moulds. They even don't have to design a cardbord box for their products, just copy it from LGB, aka reverse engineering

The first Sony tapedeck was a true copy of a Philips recorder so maybe one day.......

Now why has nobody ever thought to use these techniques to revive all the old Kitmaster kits...?
