First running in turn for my Locomotion Cackler (nameplates to follow). Got to get on with 2010 extension work now and stop playing for a bit!

Looks well, if a little bare around the line......... Having said that, it's taken a good while to clear most of the vegetation that's grown around the MDLR in the last couple of years - gotta get the tree surgeon to the prostrate juniper that's totally taken over one end of the line!

Hello Brian,

Tis bare at the moment, only moved into the house in July last year and just managed to get a complete circuit in before the weather gave out at the end of Oct, not bad bearing in mind all the house stuff that had to be done.

Serious work is about to start. The previous incarnation of the line is still on my website.

Can't see the pictures for some reason at the momoent but i'm sure it looks great. I was going to order one of these but the years long wait put me off and the tempation of an earl just after christmas was too much! Reall nice looking locos though.

I thought that too, just goes to show that a line doesn't necessarily have to be green to be attractive

Lovely engine too - I saw a rather nice scratchbuilt "Cackler" at a meeting a few years back and one day I'd like to have a go at building one myself. I think I'd need to learn some basic metalworking skills first though...!

The running at the moment is very stiff. Think it's going to take a while to run it in fully, i've only heard good things about them though. The wait was about 9 months i think. I've actually had the loco since I moved house but this was the first chance i'd had to run her. At my request David at Locomotion also fitted her up with Spektrum 2.4Ghz radio control so absolutely no glitching :-)
