North Hants Group Railway..

FINISHED!!
Today me and a few other ADMES members finished the 32mm and 45mm track at our club site.
On it you can run two 45mm locos and 3 32mm simaltaniously plus sidings, passing loops and steam up bays!
I hope to go back tomorrow for a run and some piccies!
Also I belive a member has started a north hants 16mm group!
Pictures and a Video WILL follow

Nice! I think some kind of roof over the top would be handy though

The track was actually suprisingly cheap and alot of the G was donated to us.
As for leaves we figure that for a month and a bit a year it 'taint worth it we will just blow the leaves off with the club leaf blower

Nice layout! I think the leaves would add as a slight problem! but instead of using the leaf blower, build a snowplow on the front of one of the locos and use that!

... or a wagon with a powered brush on the front?! (Seriously... as I've been thinking about that for my railway due to leaves and twigs etc blowing around in the wind).

at my club we use a blower on wheels that is wheeled around the 6 diffrent lines 1 32 mm 3 45mm electrick lines and 2 45mm steam

Mark found of the railway channel built a wagon with a revolving bog brush on the end to clear the leaves! It worked!!

Hello, new on here but have been looking in for some time.
Could anyone advise:
What general area is the 'North Hants Group' covering? And where is the group layout located (closest town maybe as the exact location might be best protected)?
It looks great, by the way.

tram sweeper

There have been several sweepers made for garden railways...12v battery etc and babys bottle brush...must get around to it some times as I have a leaf problem too.....must go to leaf anonomous!!
Tram systems had such a thing for cleaning the rails and watering the road.....as i am on a borrowed PC this is the only picture I can grab....think europe somewhere
