My Non Steam Locos No.1 - JD Models Hunslet

Post by Chris Cairns » Mon Jan 07, 2008 4:50 pm

Whilst sorting out my model steam store (built-in wardrobe in a spare bedroom) I managed to uncover my No.1 Non Steam Loco, which is this JD Models Hunslet.

It is Dual Gauge, motor drives both axles via geared shaft, onboard recharging, onboard diesel sound unit, Radio Controlled using a Mac Five MkII controller (which allows the loco to hold a set speed once set by switching off the transmitter). It has a very solid chassis, although some of the plastic detailing is a little fragile. I've fitted a Playmobile Driver in the cab. This was purchased on ebay and the previous owner had the 'Lisa' nameplates added.

Not sure if this company still exists as all links on the web come up inactive.

Enjoy, and thanks for looking.

Chris Cairns.

2 more diesels I think (very basic), but I've got a huge collection of Faller E Train and Triang/Novo Big Big Train items as well, plus other oddities.

I've found my Live Steam Loco No.5 so will be posting that first.
