Hi there, Having just purchased (second hand) one of the above locos, which is a very nice looking model, I ran it for the first time today and the front bogie keeps derailing. Has anyone else had a similar problem with the pivot pin/spring etc, causing the bogie to jump off on curves ?
Thanks. Andy.

Looking at other reports on front bogied locos, it's a common problem. Adding weight to the bogie, or fitting a more powerful spring seem to be the generic workarounds. I hope you get it sorted

Thanks Lonsdaler. I have fitted a shorter spring, which seems to have worked. There is not a lot of clearance at the top of the bogie/pin, which is critical to carrying the front end weight and balance of the loco.

I meant to add that self adhesive weights for balancing car wheels are very effective; they are low profile and come in differing weights.
