So the infamous Kerr Stuart and L&B kits from Garden Railway Specialists are back in stock! This could potentially lead to all the others returning, a good time to model garden railways!

I'll admit it's a little dear to get the body and chassis separately, perhaps GRS could offer them together for a cheaper price than both combined (£159 for the body, £249 for the chassis = £408, then any R/C components : )

Pleased to see they have revived these products. My first two "proper" locos were GRS kits and I've subsequently bought two others secondhand. It was these kits which gave me the confidence to start scratch- bash building my own.

Welp... I went ahead and bought one. It shall be named either River Yox or River Rat and be painted in a pseudo-GER livery, Dr Bond having swayed me over with his lovely fleet (especially River Fynn) and will feature a custom chassis.

It'll be commissioned to Marshland Road Works (in reality one of my friends who has put together previous kits for me) as currently, I have neither the room, experience or tools to make any kits . Granted it may be seen as lazy, but then a lot of smaller railways contracted out work and even the big four did so to relieve workshop space! I hope it'll be a fitting tribute to the DVLR (even if it is not dead, but sleepeth)
