Ok, the theme for the next Gallery will be: Road Vehicles on the Railway This includes horse, steam and mechanically powered vehicles, but no motorised mice, etc!

Rules as always, and closing date for entries will be midnight UK time on June 1st.

Please note that entries MUST be sized to 800 x 600 maximum, or the portrait equivalent. Any that are larger will be disallowed. It isn't difficult to do, but ask if you don't know how to do it.

Here comes mine:

It is still a work in progress. A KLV20 (basically a VW t2 type bus on rails).
Quite a few were converted. Some made it into preservation.

Image

In 5" gauge and with a "small" block of lead underneath it will be able to pull the not to scale driver.
Two motors, chain drive to both axles.

If you mix your small block of lead with acid...
You might have the makings of a power source?

Hi Rod,
Thanks, but the rules say only 2 entries each, so which 2 of the three do you want to actually enter?

Errr.... Not one with four wheels...

I have been busy building bicycles. My railway's staff and passengers are too poor to afford fancy motors, so are dependent on two wheeled velocipedes. The two shown here were built to fit with the props used by two of Roy Clarke's characters engaging in some illicit extra-marital romance. Perhaps:

"Oooh, Howard ... we've never gone this far before...". (Holmfirth to Axmouth ;) ).

"Oh Marina, those sheep are looking at us, do you think they'll tell Pearl"?

'Platform Bicycles'.

And then another on a similar theme, originally posted for interest rather than for the competition but after Philip's reply, why not? Inspired by the shots of the characters lying in heather on the moors. I thought the thyme flowers were close enough for an impressionist's representation of heather and let's say the owners are just a few feet away but out of shot doing some trainspotting and photography.

And then an extra photo below, not for the competition
It has road wheels and shows railway track, so I see no reason why it shouldn't be entered in the comp if you want?

Thanks - why not?

I've edited the post above to resize the second picture to 800 x 600 - this involved a minor recrop of the original.
