Garden Railway Forum

I joined the Forum a short while ago, and at the time while introducing myself I mentioned I live in a 12 inches = 1 foot former Railway Station. Several members who kindly replied and welcomed me said they would look forward to seeing photos.
Well here goes. New to garden railways and tempted over to " the Dark Side " by Chris of the PMR and Peter Butler amongst others.
I have worked in the Trade in the past and have for a number of years modelled the Lynton and Barnstaple in 009, surprisingly after reading an article by the late Henry Holdsworth.

So here we are from 00 through 009 plus a large N gauge layout in our museum ( a story for another day ) and now to embark on planning and building a garden railway.

An excellent picture of your beautiful home Peter. There will be many envious members drooling over your good fortune of having your own railway station. The museum collection is well worth sharing.

What a beautiful looking building and unlike any other station building I've seen. What railway was it?

As Peter said, I'd be interested in more detail about the museum?

I loved those Henry Holdsworth article too...

The station was part of the former Whitland and Taf Vale , then Whitland and Cardigan Railway , taken over by the GWR.
Next year being the 150th anniversary of the opening of the stations as far as Crymmych Arms.
Login is unique in it's design on the branch and we are fortunate to have the Ground Frame Cabin and all 185 feet of platform in the garden.

That looks amazing, and you have clearly invested a lot of effort in maintaining it in good condition. It's also a very 21st century name for a 19th century building!
