I like the look of that! The saddle tank and (very!) open cab really suit it!
Cheers,
Andrew.

These are my two scratch build Belgian bi-cabine tramloco's. Made out of brass and 'new silver'.
Both very dusty...,

The green one looks superb Michael. Lovely work, especially the roof support brackets and the cover panel catches/handles.

The green one is a type 18 of the Belgian NMVB,
Nationale Maatschappij Van Buurtspoorwegen.
The unpainted is no 10, of the Dutch H. B...,
the Hollandse Buurtspoorwegen.
Both were build by Tubize in Belgium.

They are beautiful machines. Do they have LGB mechanisms?

Hi Rik, I made the mechanics as well.
Although the wheels of the green one are from Märklin Maxi, the other has wheels from LGB.
Later today I will open up one of the bottom plates to make a picture.

So, let's have a peak in the inside of the loco,
.. the second and third axles are hinge on a shared sort of a balance. The weight of the locomotive is evenly distributed on the track. It rides / drives (?) great.

One axle is driven by the electric motor, the others by the connector rods.
Each axle has needle bearings.
Sadly the loco is not finished yet....., waiting for at least 15 years now.
The reasons...., my wife dyed 12 years ago.., and I need 2K sinc- chromate as primer on the brass surface ( brass needs an etch primer).
I don't know what could be an alternative..., anyone?
Michael.

That's a great looking chassis, Michael. Especially the suspension.

Lovely metalwork and soldering there Michael, specially as previously said, the fretwork supporting the roof. It's sort of a shame to paint good metalwork as it looks so good in the metal.

Those are some stunning locomotives, beautifully made and detailed. You could probably do with a dust cover though

Hi Michael,
I'm very sorry to hear about the loss of your wife, which is bound to have a very large impact on you. Your tram locos are beautiful, I do hope you manage to finish them both one day.
I don't know about 2K sinc- chromate, but motor repair shops (such as Halfords) sell etch primer here in the UK - I wonder whether they do where you live too?
With very best wishes,
Andrew .
