Hello,

I am Rod's partner Anne.

I have been told by Rod to sell his scratch built turntable. He is ill at the moment, his health problems aren't getting any better just now and now in his left leg he is getting real sharp pains all the time, which is stopping him from standing for any length of time, so he feels he needs to sell some stuff off. He wants to start with his turntable. I will take offers from members on this forum for him. We are also needing to move in to a better place to live. This property is very cold and damp and the landlord doesn't seem all that interested in repairs. So the line is getting pulled up by my son-in-law. We are moving in two weeks time, so Rod would like the turntable to go before then or it will go onto Ebay at the end of this month.

I hope these photos are helpful for you. It doesn't include the locomotive or the man or the bench. It is lights in the hut and the four lights around the turntable.

I have no need for a turntable but I'm sorry to hear Rod isn't well again. Please pass on my very best wishes to him and good luck with the move. Peter.

I was wondering why we hadn't heard from Rod for a while. Give him my best wishes and I hope all goes well with the move.
I'd have loved to have given the turntable a good home, but unfortunately it is the wrong gauge for my railway.

Just to add my best wishes to Rod, and good luck with your house move. I'm afraid I too have no use for (another) turntable, but I'm sure it will sell quickly on Ebay if no member here has need of it.

Best wishes,

Like the others, I'm afraid I'm not in the market for a turntable.

I can't imagine how you both must feel at having to move again. That's hard enough at the best of times but if Rod's not well on top of it all it must be thoroughly disheartening. I hope the move goes as well as it can for the both of you and I extend my sincerest best wishes to Rod for a return to better health.

Very best wishes,

SVLR Andrew

Hello again, its Anne.

The turntable has now been sold.

Thank you to those kind members who have sent Rod their best wishes. At the moment Rod is still very poorly and not able to do much at all, but hopefully there will be some improvement in the coming months.

I will continue to monitor the forum for Rod, because he does like to know what is happing. I did tell him that his photo didn't win, but he told me that the best one he thought was the winner is the one with the loco steaming through the foliage.

Anne

Good to hear Rod found a buyer for the turntable and he is on the mend.
Pass on my best wishes to him for a speedy recovery.
