Congratulations on your new arrival! The Accucraft Edrig is a great little loco', a very willing peformer and it'll bring you a great many years of pleasure! they also lend theirselves very well to modifications.
Have fun!!!!!

Love the video Silly Billy. When my last line closed, I held an open day for the local garden railway comunity. I was expecting a few mamods and small battery engines. Here's what turned up.

An Accucraft Caradoc.
An Accucraft Exesior.
An Accucraft Superor.
An Roundhouse Katie.
Two mamods.
Various small battery engines.

Not bad for a railway made from mamod track and is only 15 yards long!

I wish I was getting an Edrig. Maybe Next year.

Happy New year.

I'm still thinking about what to do to it! At the moment it stands at:

Red Rods or Cranks
Saftey Chains
Lamp bracket on the smokebox and rear cabsheet
Glazed spectacle plates
Smaller pressure gauge
Water top-up valve
Nameplates
Detroit lubricator (if I can source a casting)
Matt Black Smoke Box
Cosmetic draincocks, as described in 'Tag Goton's Live Steam Workshop'
New Regualtor and gas valve handle
Coal bunker on tank (scratch built)
Black Buffer Beam rears
New Boiler Bands
Black boiler in cab, with a brass band
Cream cab interior
'Isabelle' nameplates
Possibly 'Bagnall' workspaltes
Large handrail along the front of the running plate
Injectors situated on the end of the tanks (if casting can be sourced)
Perhaps paint the dome cover
Saftey valve bonnet
Chuff Pipe

I think that's about it for now! I may make a wooden 'drop-on' cab, if I buy a can of the correct spray paint! I'd love a resenator whistle, but not at £80!

that's nearly all the mods dscribed in the book! I may do some of them, mostly cosmetic, and I will fit a chuff pipe and maybe a whistle on day...

I know, and a few more! It's likely to be the only steam engine I have untill I'm 18+ so I'm going to have to make the most of it! Obviously they aren't all being added at once!

Sorry, I forgot the Chuff Pipe!
