Roundhouse Silver Lady connecting rod

Post by tom_tom_go » Tue Jul 25, 2017 7:42 pm

In my haste to remove the running gear to fit the slomo I did not photograph how this part went back together:

It is different to my Lady Anne set up in that the bolt does not screw in from the front but behind but I cannot get it to bite and I do not know where the washer should go.

Put the washer onto the bolt, feed the bolt through the connecting rod from the back, then through the piston rod end, through the crosshead, and secure with the nut on the outside.

Had difficulty getting an indoor image in focus & well exposed but hopefully you can see it here.

Thank you Chris, that photo shows me exactly what I needed to see.

I notice on the newer Silver Ladies they bolt in through the front, much easier (looks better as well in my humble opinion):
