Scale Bowaters Buffer housing and coupler
I'm going to produce a scale Bowaters buffer housing and coupler for my Accucraft Superior and will try and use the existing buffer beam fixing bolt positions to bolt them on. It occurred to me that I might be able to sell these for use on the Excelsior/Leader locos as well, if anyone's interested? The only thing I don't have is the Leader/Excelsior loco to check whether the buffer beam fixing holes are the same. If anyone could give me the dimensions that would be very useful. I measured up the real couplers quite a while ago and they will include every nut and bolt where practical.

Any idea how much a pair of these will be when they are done?

Good question, will they hook up with Accuraft standard couplings? Also would you do them as a single too, so to make a conversion truck / coach?Gremlin:116912 wrote:Looking forward to seeing them in the metal. just wondering how they will hook up to my stock.

Wow they look fantastic! I'd certainly be interested in seeing a pair on a Accucraft Leader for sure. The problem is the Excelsior and Leader have different coupling mounts (I know because I looked at fitting standard Accucraft choppers as well as one off my leader to my Excelsior and they don't fit!). Definately food for thought.
Cheers,
