That does sound interesting. One of the limitations of PayPal buttons and the freebie package I used was the limited range of postage options they offered.

Can I just ask (it doesn't seem to be clear on the freewebstore site, does the £5.99 include hosting or is that extra?

All packages include hosting. I have the free package which limits you to 15 products but within that each product can have a number of variations. You can set up various postage options and can also specify a postage option for each product individually if you wish. Its worth signing up for the free option and having a play.

That''s interesting. I've tried ordering more stocks from David but he says he's waiting for fresh supplies (I think he gets them made in China) and it could be weeks before he'll be able to supply me.

It might be that he's still not fully recovered from his house move and will take a while for things to get back to normal.

It's reassuring on one level that he's referring you to me - but puzzling when he knows I'm waiting for him to send me more stock. Maybe he hasn't realised I've actually sold out.

I have a standard P&P rate of £1.80 on any order up to £50 (this is for 2nd class signed for - which actually costs me £1.84) - it's then £4.00 up to orders for £150 after which it's post free).

I would have preferred to make the postage rates a bit more sophisticated but the PayPal tools aren't that clever.

Excellent, glad to know your postage rates, but if I can be perfectly honest with you, I think they are too cheap and you need to charge more, not often you will hear a customer say that is it, lol . If the actual postage charge is £1.84, you will also be using envelopes or boxes as well as fuel to and from a post office, I think you should charge £2.50 as it then at least covers your cost of P&P and not just P, lol. Food for thought and it is of course your business

Its great that David is referring people to you, he just needs to let you have some stock now to cover the orders, lol

Also, could you put me on your list to be waiting for an RX65 once you have stock back in please. I am sure once David knows you have customers waiting he will get the stock out to you asap

Will let you know as soon as stocks are replenished. In my last correspondence with David (on 7/1/16) he indicated it could be a few weeks before he can meet my order. If you are in urgent need, it might be that some of the other suppliers listed on his website have reserve stocks. However, as David is the sole source they may also be running short. He said that he will queue back orders - so hopefully when he does get fresh stocks I will be near the top of the list.

Thanks for letting us know the situation Rik, I will wait until you have stock as I am just gathering bits for my next project. The loco is on back order too.

And I am more than happy to wait too Rik, I always pick carefully who I deal with and I prefer keeping my custom with reliable people.

Well I today got my first RC Trains TX24. I love this compared to the Deltang version, which was although practical leaves you with having to remember what each function does, which is fine for me, but if I let someone else borrow it they don't know.

As you can see below, Rik at RC Trains has managed to overcome this and present you with a professional retail looking TX at a very good price. Obviously the functions are the same but as you can see Rik has added an additional button for me on channel 7 which I use for sound on/off on some of my loco's. I also love the red dials on the cream background, but most of all, I love the battery compartment at the back, something which was lacking on the original.

All I can say is a big well done Rik and I look forward to seeing more of your items come to market.

So glad you like the tx. After nearly three years using the Tx22, I tried to add the things I wished the original had without sacrificing its virtues such as compact size.

If you use the RX-102 then they are a simple plug in. Its what I use with a TX24 for live steam engines.

Just done it myself, works great
