NEVER radio control for steam locomotives; it is for model aeroplanes or cars. A model steam locomotive needs to be driven with your hand on the regulator

Rather difficult to do in our scales which is why a lot of us use radio control, operating the regulator at a distance.

Though I agree with the sentiment, I could not follow my loco around, and as I have multiple gradients, the regulator needs constant adjustment.
