She had the carriages yesterday, doesn't quite look right as she's a small loco and they're big carriages.

So the line resently sold off 'Barle' the ragleth class loco, this was a bid to raise funds to find a loco better suited to the lines passenger service. Luckily the director was able to quickly locate a 2-4-2 Baldwin 'lyn'.
Further plans are in the pipeline this year, a further extension to some goods sheds/ sidings being one plan. Another being the addition of a 45mm loop...

she is settling in well. she was in the works last night for work on the rear axleboxes (as an early lyn the rear sat a little low so i have lowered the rear axle slightly to level the loco) and will have rc installed over the next week.kandnwlr:109715 wrote:"Lyn" already looks at home!
looking forward to the 45mm track arriving to create a loop for any visiting locos.

Lovely pics Matt, thanks for sharing. That's a gorgeous loco. There is nothing about the L&B that I don't find fascinating. Your line is looking good too. Nice to hear it's continuing to develop.
Keep up the good work,
Andrew

"Smith! Why do you only come to work four days a week?
"'cause I can't manage on three gaffer!"

wow! it seems i've been rather lax on updating this thread of late... The line has continued to evolve, particularly the area of garden inside the loop at the end of the garden. As always photos speak louder than words....
The table top section of the line had an island platform added and the coaling station moved.
The end of the garden received a healthy amount of pea shingle and the flower bead was extended around to join with the acer. SWMBO bought me some planters and plants for my birthday so these were added to the sides of the raised track bed to break up the vast openness as the railway cut across the garden.
