So not much changed on the line this summer as I had too many ideas to decipher and develop. Stage one of the evolution of the railway began with SWMBO's want of the relocation of the main station to the other side of the line.... Not a small task given the line runs along the fence..... And so I present the pictures of the works carried out!

You've done a nice job of that rebuild. I wish I could work that fast. I like the track layout as well.

So with a steam up looming very close (next Saturday) the weekend was spent finishing the reworked section of the railway. Hopefully the photos show the work completed

Looking good, and such an impressive work rate too! I reckon a level crossing would be a nice addition to that scenic flowerbed inside he loop... Enjoy your open day - do post pics if you get a chance to take any...

A level crossing and fencing is planned for the inside loop. An engine shed May be built to go on the siding between the lines. There is a further extension in the planning stage at the moment which will take a branch across to loop around the compost bin.

Jodi decided she wanted the pallet chairs in the large loop at the end of the garden. This meant relaying half the loop to make it all fit. Whist I did this I ensured all the curves at this end were 4' minimum and that all the track was level and had no twists. I shall let photos show progress... The steam up bay is removable as I don't require it most of the time.

The large loop has now been encased using pallet wood as per the rest of the railway and just needs rowlands mix going down

It seems the weather has been kind to you today.... unlike the heavy rain we experienced here this afternoon and the monsoon conditions currently lashing down on us. No opportunity to sit and play trains.

Or possibly, that last photo shows feet next to some kind of foot warmer.

Was 20c here today. Although the burner does get used to keep us warm playing trains at night
