And PTLRcecil, do you mean the bump I call the Welcome to Cumbria bump, as its right on the Lancashire/Cumbria border right beside where there used to be a sign that said "Welcome to Cumbria". I can imagine you getting big air of that on a bike.

Guenevere (spelt corectly) 
will not fit inside the top box as its to long. I can only fit in caradoc, jenny and useless piece of metal formally known as "The worlds most powerful mamod". Gussie did just about fit in but movement tore the cowcatcher off. You wont catch me doing that again. Wait I've just gone off topic.

Well, I now believe that scenenically, the new rebuilt section is past the point that the old alignment was up to when it was dismantled for rebuilding (if you understand what i mean ), which means that the rebuilding is complete (well the tunnel is finished, virtually all the track has been laid and most of the significant earth moving has been done), although there is still a lot to do to finish the upper loop to the same scenic standard as the rest of the railway, and any further significant updates I will put in a new topic in the scenery forum. However, here are some before and after photos to show the significant changes that have happened to the upper loop of the Afonglas and Nant Llywyd railway since July
Looking east, the biggest change is the loss of the shed (re-reading the topic back can still give a good laugh about the sheds destruction!)
Taken a couple of weeks into the rebuild, the last day a steam loco traversed the old alignment
The concrete blocks still stand out although a start has been made on building a slate wall to hide them
Well, I always knew that I was in for the long haul when I decided I had had enough of the old alignment and the bad joint in the tunnel, and I still have many months left, although there is no doubt that my railway is much better as a result and I know anybody who has visited since the new alignment came into use would agree!
