There are a few subtle differences between the standard 'Lew' and the 'Lyd' version - the safety valves on 'Lyd' have extension pieces and a support attached to the cab roof, and it came with extra steps that can be fitted to the front of the tanks, to match the real one.
The most obvious difference, as noted, though, is the colour scheme - the lining etc. is different, thd top of tanks/boiler black on 'Lyd', green on 'Lew', as well as the different shade of green!
I did originally have a 'Lew' from the first batch, but that was stolen, and I decided on the 'Lyd' version for the replacement! This second batch has some improvements, like a drain for the lubricator, which there wasn't in the first batch. I think the cowcatchers are slightly higher on the newer ones, too...
