anyone know what the best method for removing superglue is? I've got some new nameplates for my lady Ann, but i need to take the old ones off.

Superglue release fluid is available from a variety of suppliers (five star adhesives etc) which I use quite a lot myself without so far any damage to underlying paintwork. It also removes superglue from the odd very expensive pair of glasses (no don't ask how I discovered this). It doesn't seem to matter how old the s/glue is or what make, a little soak or wet wiping over and around edges with the release will allow it to creep into the gap and then the item to be removed will drop off.

You can also use the "sticker remover" by 151 Adhesives to be found in pound shops, but it might not be so kind to underlying paintwork. Curiosity however just dictated that I try it on Humbrol Enamel with no apparent problem. Their customer helpline is 44 (0) 8448 118 151 or website www.151.co.uk.
