The Mid-Derbyshire Light Railway is Pleased to Announce.....

Post by MDLR » Tue Mar 05, 2013 11:34 pm

............... that following tests at a secret location, behind closed gates (mainly because I forgot to bring the key) the latest item of MDLR locomotion will appear (or more likely be let loose on an unsuspecting public) at Narrow Gauge North this coming Saturday. The item has been allocated the loco number 25................

Further hints as to the form and identity of the item will be dropped in the next few days.

Is it actually a locomotive in the normal use of the word?

OR.... is it something completely wacky like a stuffed rodent?

Any road up, this is the bit that makes it go: it's normally seen under an IP Engineering Lister but it's ideal for this application because it's fot a flat top.

Wild guess: Is it a 'jigger'/inspection trolley?

I have a confession to make. The first time I watched the video was after the Toronto-Montreal match and I had more than a little liquid celebration in me. I honestly thought in that state of mind that it was an actual rat. Well done!
