Evening all. Not sure if this belongs here or over in the Help Me section (forum regents feel free to move if thats the case).
Found this on eBay today. Not that I can REALLY afford it right now, but it is on the correct side of the Atlantic and border for me. I can't tell what edition of Mamod this is so I guess I'm looking for your general thoughts. Worth it? Good edition? Yay? Nay?
I note it seems to have the solid fuel and last I checked the consensus was to upgrade to a gas. At least I know I would prefer butane if I had the choice. But, again, the price isn't that bad.
Thanks!

It is the standard Mss version kit of the original Sl1 A good general engine but mss do have a poor reputation for the wheels coming loose on the axles. I have 3 of the sl1 locos and love them.
They are very easy to up rate by uprating the safety valve and changing the burner to meths or gas. Buy some steel wheels for it too.
